"To lead, is to be alone"

So yeah, the crew that I'm mavericking with to Philmont elected me as crew leader. Can you say "Crazy pills"? Taylor was furious, I beat him in the final round with a vote of at least 6 to 3, I don't have the foggiest idea who Brady and Micheal voted for, Taylor voted for himself, everybody else voted for me (I know because they asked me how to spell my name over and over again, "E-V-A-N", yeah, complicated). And while we were in the voting spirit we also elected Branden as Chaplain Aid, and there was great rejoicing. The wonderfullest part about that is that it means he and I are tenting together on the trek. So its gonna be totally su-WEET. Branden, "you're beautiful!". So after the rejoicing (and wrath and feircesome threats from Taylor, "So, if he gets hit by a car in the parking lot and breaks his legs, does that make me crew leader?") was over, we went over to the Selman's grandparent's house and picked up a whole bunch of heavy furniture, then we put it down. We also got Briana, and there was even MORE rejoicing, and the trip home was, if possible, even funner (and crazier) then the trip to Longview. Oh wait, I hadn't mentioned that we were in Longview all that time had I? Well, we were. When we got back to Nac, Wal-Mart to be specific (because the Selmans LOVE Wal-Mart) we rampaged through the store looking for Mrs. Selman. Actually, Logan and I rampaged, Briana tried to stop us, and Branden sort of. . . . sauntered. So, fun times. That was yesterday. Today, was (get ready for me to break down in helpless sobs while Caleb and Andrew cheer and yelp with glee) the last day of Co-op, I mean, FOREVER. So here I will sing the praises of my wonderful teachers (I'm dead serious here, they have been absolutely amazing) Mrs. Fearing and Mrs. Jones. Mrs. Fearing, your tireless jovial sarcasm, endless work, and patient diligence in hammering the ideas of physics into my thick skull, along with your wise relationship advice ;), have been wonderful, I'm really gonna miss coming over to your house twice a week (I'm also gonna miss your Calvin and Hobbes comic books, but uh, that's beside the point). And Miz Jerri, wow, I cannot thank you enough for all that you have done for me, this Western Civ class has really helped develop my thinking skills and clarify my world view and built up my love for philosophy and just in general built me up, and I assure you that it would not have done this without your gentle nagging and impassioned speeches (can you call me up and make one of your cool inspirational speeches to me at random times when I'm in college?) and I'm really gonna miss seeing you all the time. THANK YA'LL SO MUCH! But anyway, besides a WeCi class that I was woefully unprepared for, I got a picture ID so that I can take the SAT, went to Sonic with the Joneses (an outing of note, let me assure you), had the most amazingly short Court of Honor EVER(Logan's speech was good btw), and went to Rachel Anderson's Spring Recital. It was cool hearing all those talented little people play, (especially the Fearing clan, they're great) and it was great seeing Rachel again, she said she'd heard something really good about me, she never told me what it was, but it still made me feel special. Taking out the trash was a uniquely happy time tonight ::smirks:: and that brings us to the present, with me gleefully typing away in my grimy undershirt with stinky armpits showing, smirking gleefully to myself and thinking longing thoughts about showers,
taTa

PS: Can you imagine how harsh it's gonna be for me to be a mature solemn leader for two stinkin' weeks with the Kings of Random Frollity (Branden and Logan) bouncing around me?
Yeah, its gonna be harsh.

Some certain people gave some certain teachers the information to find out exactly what goes on in that seemingly blank looking mind. (Are you confused or just checked out?) We do appreciate the appreciation - I expect you to name your first born after us. Jerry if male and Lisa if female should be sufficient thanks. Of course, that assumes that the relationship advice will be taken.
