Ok, so now I'm actually back
The electricity is finally back now, Life has been weird and chaotic (his gowly grin is really getting on my nerves) and it has been freakishly hot, as in record breaking for this time of year, 100 degrees, which IS totally insane. But, a cool front just came in, so temperatures are almost in their proper places again. None of that matters much now though, because the A/C is back! Hip Hip Hoorah!!!! So I volunteered at the Coliseum (yeah I'm dumb but I do not know how to spell that and I'm not gonna find out, sorry) which is where evacuees are being put, yesterday, which was interesting sort of, but mostly boring because I basicly did nothing. I was in the nurse station sometimes by myself (oh yay, Evan's the nurse, he will save us) and never with a nurse, the first hour there was a guy studying to be a nurse, but that hardly counts, and we had basicly nothing to give people. I gave one girl like 10 band aids (she totally didn't need them at all, but who cares) and another girl some Motrin (she WOULD NOT take Aspirin which I thought was weird, but that was fine too, it was pretty much my only moment of action in the two hours I was there so I didn't care much) and I learned that I am totally paranoid, but yeah, I didn't feel very helpful but I did my best. Anyway Abigail won the email me contest, beating the ONE other contestant by 3 days, I still didn't get it until Tuesday though, so I guess that didn't matter, still, mega props to Abby! There are some people who still may not have electricity for another two weeks, which is truly horrendous and some people have no homes at all, so I am really humbled and thankful that I'm basicly back to normal and was never deeply effected, just slightly discomfited, by the whole thing. So our prayers really need to be with all those people and may God Bless America,

Oh wow, just now I clicked on my blog and Internet Explorer told me that I was not authorized to visit this site, if I believed that I should be allowed to veiw this site I should contact the people in charge of the site, but that's like me, so I contacted myself, got the appropriate pass and came, total W I E R D N E S S
Hahaha! I was about to comment on the post when I read this comment and barfed! I mean died! I mean gaffagled! I mean laughed!!
Ok, I was saying something (but was it worth the tremendous effort??).... Oh les. Another smashing post, Sir Dude, even though your run-on sentences send shivers down my little grammar-sensitive spine. Volunteering is a wonderful thing to do, unless you do nothing, in which case you sit and stare at spider webs and imagine trigonometry problems number 17 through 84 which you could be doing. Hmm, maybe that's just me....
Well Amy, I'm glad you enjoyed my post and my comment and my run on sentences, run on sentences are great fun to me. Actually when I was sitting there I was casting surrepticious glances at my fellow volunteer doing homework and thinking of my physics lab report that I still haven't done, yikes I'm glad Mrs Fearing doesn't read my blog
just thought i'd say hi since i've been doing such a bad job of commenting. we need to get together and "hang out" sometime. let's go bowling, or watch a movie, or go to java jacks... or all three. kbye
