No Swimming!
I weakly splash, I flounder and go down beneath the rushing waters. Struggling with all that I have I snatch a breath of air before being swept away on down stream, I go down beneath the crashing waves, pulled along by the current of my sins, they laugh at me and lie to me, but I can't discern anymore, now seems almost as if it could be true, then the hand of The One who saves me lifts me from the waters, puts my on dry land and says, "don't swim!" but I don't listen, oh why don't I listen, all I can say is "Man, I could of died! why didn't you come sooner?" tommorrow I'll be back the river, why can't I stay on the road?

hey bro! i understand how easy it is to stray off the road. God will help us prevail against those insidious undercurrents. remember, God always uses the trials and struggles we go through to strengthen us spiritually and increase our faith. He may not have come as soon as you hoped, but He did come, and in His own perfect timing.
keep up the great blogging!
dude! you are like, so falling down on the job!! you haven't blogged since friday... now, now, let's don't be lazy...tsk,tsk,tsk. anyway, say something sometimes soon. wow, that's a mouth full! sssssssss! though i feel more like zzzzzzzzzz.
Evan, Evan, I've been here so many times, don't believe all his lies. When your sins become bigger than what Christ can handle, when this sanctification by faith business suddenly becomes your problem to fix, you know you're hearing something from the tempter.
In devo's this morning I read some comments on a psalm and one sentence especially caught my eye. "Salvation finds us in the dark [and here your heart really sinks. man, God is just going to shine a light on all this hypocrisy and cast me away because I'm so black!] but it doesn't leave us there." This light that he shines isn't a blinding condemnation, it's a ray of pardon, He finds us in the dark hole AND BRINGS US OUT!
"Salvation finds us in the dark but it doesn't leave us there."
Anywho, guess you just touched a nerve because I was here too (like this afternoon even!). I've been thrown by a lot of self lynching and giving up my joy to one who only knows to steal, kill, and destroy. There's a whole other universe of God's grace, and the devil can't touch that.
Hey Evan, I miss you. When you comin' back?
